Maintenance Tips

Keep your turf looking great for 15–20 years

One of the biggest advantages of artificial turf is how little maintenance it needs. Follow these simple steps to maximize your turf's life and appearance in Florida's climate:

Remove Debris Weekly

Blow or rake leaves, twigs, and debris off the turf surface to prevent organic buildup that can cause odors or mold.

Rinse Monthly

A light rinse with a garden hose removes dust, pollen, and helps cool the surface during hot Florida months.

Brush the Fibers

Use a stiff-bristle brush or power broom to keep blade tips standing upright, especially in high-traffic areas.

Spot Clean Spills

For pet waste or spills, rinse immediately with water. For stubborn stains, a mild diluted detergent works great.

Check for Hot Spots

Windows can focus sunlight like a magnifying glass. Add window film or awnings near glass that faces your turf.

Annual Inspection

Have us do a free annual check — we look at seams, edges, infill levels, and drainage to keep your turf lasting 15–20 years.

Buying Guide

How to choose the right turf for your project

01

Choose the Right Pile Height

Pile height is how tall the grass blades stand. 1"–1.5" is best for putting greens and high-traffic commercial areas. 1.5"–2" works great for pet areas. 2"–2.5" looks the most realistic for residential lawns. Over 2.5" is best for decorative or low-traffic zones.

02

Consider the Infill

Infill holds the blades upright and provides cushioning. Silica sand is the most common, safe, and affordable. Crumb rubber adds extra cushion for sports fields. Organic infills (cork, coconut) are the most eco-friendly. We help you choose the right infill for your use case and pet situation.

03

Check the Drainage Rate

Florida gets 60+ inches of rain annually. Your turf must drain fast. Look for turf with perforated backing that drains at least 30 inches per hour. All our products drain at 45"+ per hour — well above industry standard.

04

UV Stabilization Matters in Florida

Florida's intense UV radiation fades and degrades turf that isn't properly UV-stabilized. All our products are UV-stabilized for 15+ years and won't lose their green color in direct Florida sun.

05

Ask About the Warranty

A good turf warranty covers fading, degradation, and manufacturing defects for at least 8 years. Our premium lines carry 10–15 year product warranties plus our own workmanship guarantee.
